Our Goal
Our goal for the evening is to raise enough funds to support over one-third of the Central Florida area budget for the 2010 year. By accomplishing this, we will free up our area staff and leaders to be able to spend more time with kids! We believe this quality time is what has made Young Life a success for over 60 years. With your financial support you can help make our mission statement, "Every Kid, Every Where, For Eternity" continue to become a reality.
Schools & Leaders
Your support helps Young Life reach teens throughout Orlando. Each week, over 60 Young Life Leaders volunteer their time to build relationships with Middle School and High School students across the city- going to schools, attending games, leading Bible Studies and weekly club meetings.
The annual gala raises funds to help train and equip these leaders with skills and tools necessary to share Christ with our community’s people.

Dr. David Swanson
The Rev. Dr. David D. Swanson is the Senior Pastor and Head of Staff of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, Florida. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Swanson received his Master of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Prior to his arrival in Orlando, he served two pastorates: the first in Signal Mountain, TN as an Associate for both youth ministry and discipleship; the second in Ft. Myers, FL as Senior Pastor and Head of Staff. Dr. Swanson has been active in the PC(USA) through service to the Presbytery as well as through the ministries of Presbyterians For Renewal and the Presbyterian Coalition. He and his wife, Leigh, have three children: John David, Alex, and Kaylee.
